- Run enhanced app campaigns.
- Import all your ad campaigns.
- Enable Appstack to audit Snapchat’s reporting capabilities.
- Allow Appstack to send in-app events, postbacks (signals) back to Snapchat Ads.
To successfully connect Snapchat Ads, you must:
- Have admin access to the right Snapchat Ads organization and ad account. Partial access is not enough to make the integration work.
- Ensure the app used in Appstack is connected to the correct ad account and pixel in Snapchat Ads Manager.

Connect to Snapchat Ads
The first step is to connect your Snapchat Ads account with Appstack. Follow these steps:- In Appstack, from the side menu, select Integrations > Snapchat Ads.
- Click on Connect.
- In Snapchat’s access integration flow, log in to your Snapchat account with access to the correct organization and ad accounts.
- Accept the requested permissions, and you will then be redirected to Appstack’s integration page.
Installs and the APP_INSTALL event
Appstack maps app installs to Snapchat’s standard APP_INSTALL event. This is automatic, you don’t need to map anything yourself for installs to be sent.Configure the Conversions API
Configuring the Conversions API with Appstack will allow you to run enhanced app campaigns using the assigned ads link.1
Configure the Snap App ID and Conversions API access token
The Snap App ID is the destination that receives only Appstack-attributed events. Choosing the wrong Snap App ID will cause your app’s events to be sent to the wrong destination.
- Copy the Snap App ID shown at the top of your Apps page.
- Paste it in the Snap App ID field in Appstack.
- In the events manager, configure the Conversions API setup and generate an access token, then copy it.
- Paste the access token in the Conversions API access token field in Appstack.
- Click on Save to confirm the Snap App ID and access token, enabling the integration.
InformationFor additional information on how to set up the Conversions API and get the access token, follow the official instructions: Snapchat Conversions API

Sending events
To successfully send in-app events to Snapchat Ads:
- Select the in-app events from the dropdown button under the Appstack SDK events column.
- Map the selected in-app event to a Snapchat standard event. For example, if you want to optimize your ad campaigns towards the SDK event SUBSCRIBE, you can select the Snapchat standard event called SUBSCRIBE.
- Click on Save.
All events vs. attributed-only
Under In-app event postbacks, below Which events to send, choose between all events or attributed-only.- All events sends both attributed and organic events to Snapchat. Organic events (installs or in-app events with no matching campaign click) don’t carry a click id, so they don’t contribute to your event match quality score.
- Attributed-only sends only events matched to a click on one of your campaigns. Since every one of these events carries a click id, they all contribute to your event match quality score.
Information
- To complete this step successfully, you first need to receive an install event from the Appstack SDK.
- Once the in-app events are selected, they can take up to 2 hours to appear in Snapchat Events Manager.
- Appstack sends only attributed events to Snapchat Events Manager by default. If you haven’t launched a campaign yet, or just reconnected the integration, it’s expected to see little or no activity at first, events will start flowing in once you have a campaign running and generating attributed installs.
- Only Snapchat standard events (including
CUSTOM_EVENT_1toCUSTOM_EVENT_5) can be selected. Each Snapchat event can only be mapped to one Appstack SDK event.
3
Create your first enhanced app campaign
- Copy the ad link from the Appstack’s integration page (located at the bottom of the page).
- Inside Snapchat Ads Manager, click on + Create to start the campaign creation flow.
- At the ad set level, select the correct Snap App ID / pixel (same as in Appstack), and for the optimization goal select the in-app event you want the campaign to optimize for.
- In the Targeting section, ensure only one operating system is selected (iOS or Android).
- At the ad level, paste the ad link as the destination URL. Don’t add extra URL parameters to it.
InformationNot selecting the specific operating system at the ad set level will affect your ad performance, as users will click the ad links but not be able to download the app because the ad links are specific to each operating system (iOS or Android).
